Forward Hi-Tech Development Zone (FDZ) is
located in Jiading district where is famous for its technology,
auto and travel industries. Jiading is in the northwest of
Shanghai and on the forefront of the Yangtze River Delta.
It¡¯s also an expressway from Shanghai to Jiangsu Province. The average altitude of this district is 3.9 meters, a
typical subtropical climate, generally mild and comfortable,
with an annual rainfall of 1001.8 mm, 2252hours of sunshine,
and over-230 non-frost days. The average temperature is 15.4¡æ,
and relative humidity is 81%, wind speed 3.3m/sec. It is a
good biological environment with four seasons.
Forward Zone lies in the traffic hub of north Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta.
- Traffic: Hujia Expressway starts from
the zone. The planned shanghai A30 Ring Road runs through
the zone, and will connect with Huning Highway, Huhang Highway,
Tongsan Highway and along-yangtze-river High way. It is
a super access to the north and south of China and especially
the Yangtze River Dalta.
- Railway: 30km to Shanghai railway Station;
6km to Nanxiang Transportation Center which is the largest
railway Cargo Marshalling station in East China.
- Airport: 25km to Hong Qiao International
Airport, 15 minutes by car;
75km to Pu Dong International Airport (45 minutes by car)
- Waterway: 25km far away from Wusong
International Cargo Habour: Within Jiading District,
Wen-zao-bang, Hengli River, and Lianqi River
are connecting to Huangpu River. They are open to navigation
of 300-ton ships and ferries.
